2017-08-04 11.13 P 04491 Hole farms from Herredshus!.jpg
View of Hole looking South from the Herradshus.  Hole has some of the nicest farm land we saw all week.

Hole Kirke – the small white part built 1200.  It was nearly destroyed multiple times.  The restored part was built of local standstone since 1943.

Bønsnes Kirke – the low part built in 1100, the bell tower much later – 1850s.  Interior decor has features from over its lifetime.  The roof was being restored when we were there, so the old part was swathed in plastic and the roof tiles in boxes on the ground, but it WAS open for tours (unlike Hole).

Also on this NEW road was this great classic barn – again, note the ramp.
